To help celebrate the first 100 years of British aviation the Royal Aeronautical Society will be reviving one of its most popular traditions: The Summer Garden Party.
This exciting event will be held in association with the Shuttleworth Collection - ‘a unique flying collection showcasing the first one hundred years of flight’ - at their home, Old Warden, near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.
As well as being a very good opportunity to see the Shuttleworth Collection in it's picturesque surroundings at Old Warden, there will also be an air display with planes from throughout the first century of aviation taking to the skies. Weather permitting, there will even be an opportunity to see original, edwardian, canvass covered aircraft in flight.
Tickets for this fantastic day out are only £20, but if you are a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society you can buy tickets for yourself and friends for £18 each.

There will be plenty to keep all the family entertained including:
- An air display
involving some of the Shuttleworth Collection's finest specimins.
- A vintage car display (feel free to bring your own!)
- Hot and Cold food.
- Exclusive RAeS Members Area.
- Relaxing tours of Shuttleworth's Swiss Garden.
- The remarkable Bird of Prey Centre.
- Children's play area.
Enjoy a picnic with friends while experiencing this fantastic opportunity to see some rare aircraft in action in a great setting.
